This design was the result of a video I made that highlighted the bus stops on Ball State’s campus and their inability to respond to the changing conditions of the four seasons climate they are placed in. In response to this inadequacy, I designed a transformative shelter that can be manipulated by the users as a passive method to respond to the current climatic conditions on the site. This design uses the materials found in the existing benches: wood and metal.
